The role
Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for evidencebased investigation land governance and improving how information is managed and used This leadership role offers the opportunity to influence Crown land decisionmaking at scale by guiding a specialist team responsible for delivering accurate defensible land status investigations.
As the Group Leader Status Searches & Investigations you will lead a team of technical specialists who provide authoritative advice on Crown land status historical tenure and legislative interpretation. Your work will directly support government priorities operational decisions and customer outcomes in a complex and evolving operating environment.

What you will bring to the role
- Experience or interest in working with legislation policy or regulatory frameworks relevant to land property planning or government decisionmaking (or a strong ability to quickly build this knowledge on the job)
- Youre energised by improving systems processes and the way information is used.
- Excellent attention to detail in identifying gaps inconsistencies or risks in documentation data or processes and taking steps to resolve them
- Youre a confident communicator who can translate complexity into clarity for a wide range of stakeholders.
- Proven leadership skills with an ability to foster a collaborative and culturally respectful work environment.
Essential requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in property land administration legal field and/or equivalent level of knowledge and experience.
