About you and this role:
Dow is offering an exciting parttime cooperative (coop) position located in Midland MI. The position exists to provide administrative support for the Dow Consumers Solutions Process R&D organization.
This is a longterm yearround opportunity for undergraduate students who are enrolled at a fully accredited college or university located near the Midland Dow site. Unlike a shortterm summer internship this role is designed to last at least one year and allows students to work parttime while continuing their coursework.
As a coop at Dow students gain handson professional experience in a global organization and have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues and leaders across a variety of roles. This program is intended for academically strong students who can successfully balance both school and professional work responsibilities and who meet the program and position requirements outlined below.
Responsibilities:
Serve as Safety Admin for the department including completing monthly reporting requirements
Employee onboarding and offboarding
Enter Purchase Orders for team
File share and team room support
Schedule meetings along with all logistics (visitor passes order food conference room location) as requested
Input work requests
Modify distribution lists
Modify Office personnel list for group/organization
Department errands
Provide back up support to other department co-ops and Admin team.
This role will also include building responsibilities:
Sort/distribute mail
Order/organize supplies for building and kitchen
Manage building conference rooms
Contact for building printers
Order supplies (office kitchen etc.) and submit expense reports
Organize catering or lunches for leadership team meetings as needed
Office updates (i.e. name tags keys update occupancy report)
Order/manage Cintas Uniform Requests
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Live within 50 miles of the Dow site.
High school diploma or GED with current enrollment in an accredited college or university near the Midland Dow site pursuing an undergraduate degree.
Maintain a minimum of 6 credit hours during both the fall and winter semesters (SeptemberApril).
Available to begin within approximately 46 weeks of offer acceptance and committed to working year-round at a minimum of 16 hours per week during standard business hours (MondayFriday 8:00 AM5:00 PM; up to 8 hours/day and 30 hours/week during the academic year).
Commit to the role for a minimum of 1 full calendar year prior to completing your undergraduate degree or relocating outside the area. Students with availability beyond one year are preferred.
Consistent attendance and punctuality for in-office work (minimum 3 days per week) required supported by reliable transportation and strong time management skills.
A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.
Preferred Qualifications:
Seeking high performing student with strong GPAs of 3.000.

Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to share ideas clearly and ask questions when needed.

Organization & Adaptability: Organized and proactive with the ability to stay flexible and adjust to changing priorities while maintaining a positive approach.
Technical & Systems Skills: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel Word PowerPoint Outlook) with a willingness to learn new systems; familiarity with SAP or similar tools is a plus but not required.
Additional Notes:
Any current Dow college co-ops wishing to transfer into this role must have been in their current role at least one full year must have at least one full year left before graduating or transferring out of the area and must have supervisor approval before applying to each Dow co-op job posting.
Candidates who receive a job offer will be required to pass a background check and drug screen/medical evaluation and will verify school-related requirements and I-9 documentation before being hired into Dow.
