Main Purpose of the Role

The primary function of this job is to oversee and coordinate daily activities within Warehouses for both Abbott non exempt and contract personnel to ensure compliance with Quality Regulatory Corporate and Departmental Guidelines Training and Performance objectives. Warehouses are responsible for processing orders dailyboth domestically and Internationallyreceivingstorage and handling of commodities. Follow established procedures and guidelines to receive handle store record and dispatch goods in a store or warehouse.

Main Responsibilities

• Receive incoming goods.
• Check for damage and for discrepancies between goods and invoices.
• Accurately sort label and store goods.
• Arrange storage to optimize warehouse space.
• Pick pack and dispatch outgoing goods according to written or verbal requests or orders.
• Enter data into a database or other computerized system to maintain up-to-date stock records.
• Retrieve stored information to respond to enquiries (for example on inventory levels or delivery schedules.).
• Perform other routine clerical activities according to the organizations established procedures.
• These activities may include answering telephones updating stock cards and inventory records and completing receipt transfer
• delivery and dispatch forms.
• Operate forklifts or other warehouse machinery.

Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma/GED

Experience/Background

• Minimum 2 years equivalent work experience in logistics transportation distribution warehousing or planning.
• Individual must have experience in warehousing functions which include: receiving handling storage and retrieval of material or degree in such area
• Must have working knowledge of inventory systems Individual will be required to train on or become familiar with current Divisional Quality Systems. GMP FDA and ISO regulations as well as IATA and DOT regulations.
