In this versatile logistics role you are an essential link within the World Courier Holland warehouse. You ensure that shipments are processed quickly safely and in accordance with strict quality standards. With your attention to detail sense of responsibility and handson mentality you contribute daily to the smooth execution of our temperaturecontrolled logistics processes. You will work in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same and where your efforts have a direct impact on the quality and reliability of our services.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The holder of this position may perform the following tasks;

• Package preparation

• Process shipments that pass through the world courier holland warehouse facility quickly and efficiently whilst paying attention to detail.

• Keep a close watch on stock levels and inform teamleader if running low.

• Temperature recorder handling

• Communicating with other departments to ensure shipment deadlines are met.

• Load and unload vehicles utilising the correct equipment to do so.

• Verify deliveries upon receipt

• Keep records of temperature in cold storage rooms (fridges freezers and controlled ambient rooms)

• Manage cold storage materials and supplies ( gel packs dry ice etc.)

• Prepare packaging for collections by reading pick-up instructions from Jobs

• Program temperature recorders and prepare the temperature records forms.

• Ensure that the warehouse remains clean and tidy inside and out - at all times including temp controlled storage rooms.

• Separate each not approved wooden pallet

• Where necessary replenish shipments with gel packs or dry ice.

• Cleaning and record keeping of multiple use packaging material

• Report any shipments that arrive into the warehouse that may have been damaged in transit

• Ensure the premises are secure by keeping overhead doors closed when not utilised and challenging anyone without a valid world courier ID or visitor pass
