Job Title: Senior Communications Specialist (Training & Enablement)

Duration: 9 Months
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Communications Specialist with a strong background in training and enablement to support the adoption and effective use of a digital regulatory system across a large public-sector environment.
This role is responsible for designing developing and maintaining learning materials identifying performance gaps and supporting the delivery of structured virtual training. The ideal candidate will translate complex system functionality and business processes into practical user-friendly training solutions to ensure consistent and efficient system usage.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain clear practical learning materials including job aids user guides presentations and scenario-based resources
- Collaborate with subject matter experts system leads and business teams to ensure accuracy of training content
- Identify gaps in user knowledge and performance through feedback observations and data analysis
- Recommend and implement targeted learning interventions to address identified gaps
- Design and support virtual training sessions including course outlines presentations and exercises
- Assist in facilitating training sessions and provide post-training support
- Continuously improve training materials based on feedback system updates and evolving business needs
- Organize and manage training content repositories to ensure materials are current and accessible
- Align training deliverables with broader organizational training strategies and standards
Mandatory Requirements
- Education:
- Bachelors degree
OR - Diploma (Business Communications Adult Education or related field) with 3 additional years of relevant experience
- Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience developing user training materials technical documentation and platform support resources
- Minimum 5 years of experience delivering training via web-based tools (e.g. Microsoft Teams)
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing multiple concurrent tasks with strict timelines
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- 3 years of experience delivering communications and presentations across multiple organizational levels (executives to end users)
- 3 years of experience developing training materials such as documentation e-learning modules and training videos
- 3 years of experience in change management (training strategies communication plans stakeholder impact assessments)
- 3 years of experience documenting user requirements business processes and workflows
- 3 years of experience building strong stakeholder relationships
- Experience using feedback analytics to improve training materials
Additional Requirements
- Background Check: Must be able to pass a criminal record check prior to engagement
- Equipment:
- Must provide own computer and equipment compatible with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)
- Windows OS preferred for compatibility
- Responsible for own workspace setup (desk chair printer etc.)
- Necessary system access credentials will be provided
