NSLC is seeking a Reporting & Analytics Business Process Owner (BPO) who will serve as the single point of business accountability for reporting strategy data definitions and analytics alignment across the business. This role is pivotal in bridging business priorities with system design ensuring that reporting is intentional standardized and aligned with enterprise objectives. This role is integral to leading key insights and data recommendations through working with all Business Units (Corporate Services Shopper Engagement IT People Culture & Social Impact Customer Experience and Finance). Ultimately they will work to combine the insights and data requirements to ensure business needs are met while navigating the changes due to the technology modernization. The BPO will also be responsible for leading guiding and supporting the Reporting & Analytics Subject Matter Expert for the duration of the project.
The successful candidate will work closely with the business and technical teams to gather and validate reporting requirements contribute to and influence SAP design and testing activities and ensure data and reporting readiness for system go-live.
Reporting StructureReports to: Director Insights & Strategy
Essential Responsibilities- Anchor reporting within the broader transformation strategy by defining and aligning enterprise reporting requirements to key business outcomes.
- Develop the Data & Insights practice framework for the organization.
- Be the key liaison between business functions and the project team ensuring transparency accountability and alignment in a timely fashion.
- Shape SAP design decisions to ensure scalability usability and alignment with future-state analytics needs across the organization.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather document and validate enterprise data and reporting requirements throughout the program.
- Participate in SAP design workshops providing structured business input on reporting and analytics decisions.
- Create review and validate report and dashboard designs to ensure they meet business needs.
- Develop and support the enforcement of reporting-related data quality standards and controls to ensure cross-functional consistency with a goal of minimizing fragmentation across business units.
- Define critical data elements establish measurable quality thresholds and ensure data integrity if proactively managed.
- Support data and reporting activities across all testing cycles including system and user acceptance testing.
- Validate report reconciliation and KPI accuracy prior to business sign-off.
- Coordinate and contribute to formal business sign-off documentation for data and reporting readiness prior to go-live.
- Contribute to defining baseline data quality metrics and acceptance criteria for go-live ensuring analytics capabilities support executive decision-making operational performance and regulatory obligations.
- Support data and reporting readiness activities in advance of the project.
- Validate readiness conditions including data quality considerations prior to system build.
- Escalate unresolved cross-functional issues through established governance channels.
- Maintain shared accountability for Master Data within the reporting scope.
- Ensure reporting outcomes comply with regulatory audit and information management requirements.
- Support business adoption of SAP reporting and analytics tools.
- Contribute to the development of training materials playbooks and user guides.
- Support knowledge transfer to Data & Insights team members post-go live.
As a qualified candidate you will have:
- Undergraduate degree in Information Technology Data Management Business Commerce Information Management or a related field.
- 58 years of experience in data reporting analytics business intelligence or ERP-enabled business roles.
- Demonstrated experience contributing as a business representative Business Process Owner stream lead or Subject Matter Expert on at least one ERP or large-scale system transformation.
- Strong experience gathering and validating business requirements in a complex cross-functional environment.
- Solid understanding of data and reporting concepts including data ownership quality governance and reporting workflows.
- Experience or exposure to SAP reporting tools (SAP BW SAP Analytics Cloud Power BI Tableau or similar). SAP Analytics Cloud is preferred.
- Familiarity with ERP program delivery models and the Business Process Owner role.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong stakeholder coordination and cross-functional collaboration skills.
As the ideal candidate you will also have:
- Understanding of data governance and data management principles is an asset.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable working within dual-reporting and matrix governance structures.
- Strong judgment and ability to escalate issues with appropriate context.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
This position is contract-based and aligned to the SAP Modernization Program timeline.
