A Day in the Life
The eManuals Release Administrator works under general supervision to prepare process and implement quality systems requirements configuration management and documentation deliverables to release and control the Surgical Operating Unit electronic manuals on Medtronic eManuals websites.Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
- Stage and release manuals to the eManuals website for the operating unit including specifying the attributes.
- Coordinate activities surrounding the qualification and release of eManuals for product launches.
Participate in user acceptance testing for the eManuals website as needed.
Follow established editorial guidelines for populating the attributes of eManual records on the eManuals website.
Participate in requirements definition and testing for new features on the eManuals website.
Work closely with internal and external partners to assist in troubleshooting problems with content quality or schedule and negotiate resolution of issues.
Provides input to schedules and prepares status reports.
Monitors eManuals activities from initiation through delivery.
Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity quality and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers Tech Comm colleagues and cross-functional subject matter experts.
Gathers requirements works on eManuals requirements planning requirements elicitation and requirements management to ensure they meet demands of projects key stakeholders.
Provides guidance and support for eIFU (electronic instructions for use) cost down initiatives and regulatory prioritization.
Leads and supports continuous improvement initiatives such as metadata standardization process efficiencies and/or business practices.
TECHNICAL SPECIALIST CAREER STREAM:An individual contributor with responsibility in our technical functions to advance existing technology or introduce new technology and therapies. Formulates delivers and/or manages projects assigned and works with other stakeholders to achieve desired results. May act as a mentor to colleagues or may direct the work of other lower level professionals.

Communication and Influence:Communicates primarily and frequently with internal contacts. External interactions are less complex or problem solving in nature. Contacts others to share information status needs and issues in order to inform gain input and support decision-making.
Leadership and Talent Management:May provide guidance and assistance to entry level professionals and / or employee in Support Career Stream.
Required Knowledge and Experience: Requires a Baccalaureate degreeand minimum of 2 years of relevant experience OR Masters degree with a minimum of 0 years relevant experience.
For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
