A mid-sized Boston-based law firm is seeking a hands-on Legal Billing Specialist to oversee legal billing and invoicing operations in a collaborative and professional office environment. This position works closely with attorneys managing partners and external vendors while supporting the firms ongoing operational infrastructure efforts.
The role is ideal for a billing professional who can operate independently manage multiple billing deadlines and maintain a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
Responsibilities
Prepare generate and manage attorney pre-bills for review and submission
Maintain attorney time entries and billing data
Submit invoices through multiple e-billing platforms
Ensure compliance with client billing guidelines and LEDES requirements
Resolve billing discrepancies and invoice rejections
Track accounts receivable and outstanding invoices
Coordinate with the firms external bookkeeper and vendors
Provide billing and administrative support to attorneys and managing partners
Qualifications
Demonstrated legal billing experience in a law firm or legal environment
Experience with LEDES billing formats required
Familiarity with platforms such as Tymetrix Legal Tracker Brightflag TeamConnect or similar systems preferred
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage billing deadlines independently
Professional communication skills when interacting with attorneys leadership and vendors
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary approximately $100000 $125000 commensurate with experience

Full-time position
