About the Role

Aegis Health is seeking an experienced and motivated Procurement and Supply Manager to lead procurement inventory and supply operations across our hospital environment. This role is critical in ensuring the timely cost-effective and high-quality acquisition of goods and services that support exceptional patient care and operational excellence. This role will be responsible for overseeing waste management disposal cleaning services and linen imprest to ensure sufficient stock levels of linen and all consumables.

Reporting to the Executive Manager Finance you will oversee sourcing purchasing supplier relationships inventory control prosthesis management and supply chain continuity while supporting a culture of safety collaboration and continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will work closely with clinical teams suppliers wards and procedural areas to ensure all departments maintain appropriate stock levels and uninterrupted service delivery. This position also plays an important role in supporting governance compliance quality improvement and stakeholder engagement across the hospital.

Key Responsibilities

1. Procurement & Supply Chain Management

- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organisational objectives and budget requirements.

- Forecast supply needs for wards and procedural areas to ensure effective purchasing and stock availability.

- Oversee the full procurement cycle including:

- Proactively identify and manage supply chain risks to ensure continuity of supply.

2. Inventory & Operational Management

- Manage stock levels of consumables linen and waste management throughout the hospital.

- Ensure all departments have the required supplies to support patient care and visiting medical officers.

3. Leadership & Team Management

- Supervise support and train Imprest Officers and Stores & Supply Officers.

- Foster a collaborative courteous and supportive team culture.

4. Governance Safety & Quality

- Uphold Aegis Health policies procedures values Code of Conduct and workplace safety requirements.

- Support safe patient care and continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Essential Skills & Experience

- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure competitive pricing supplier agreements and cost saving opportunities.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills including the ability to navigate difficult conversations professionally.

- Experience using inventory management software systems.
