- The Supply Planning & Logistics Department (SP&L) within the Procurement Engineering & Electronics Manufacturing (P&EM) organization is responsible for supply planning inventory management and delivery of externally produced parts for The LEGO Group.
- The Planning Manager is accountable for ensuring the Mexico EMS factory produces Tech Elements on time at cost and at quality feeding downstream LEGO packing factories without disruption. This is an individual contributor role focused on EMS factory planning execution key component availability and cross-functional coordination of factory operations. The role represents supply planning for the Mexico EMS node in programs and forums and supports supply term negotiations in collaboration with the Sr. EMS Planning Manager. Success is measured by service level to downstream factories EMS factory productivity component availability NPI readiness and cost-to-serve improvements.
Core Responsibilities
- Owns supply and factory planning for Tech Elements at the EMS factory handling daily weekly and monthly planning cycles production schedules capacity utilization and build plans to ensure on-time supply to downstream LEGO packing factories at target service level and cost.
- Ensures availability of key electronic components and critical raw materials at the EMS factory through buffer stock management allocation decisions expedite governance and early risk escalation in collaboration with Procurement and component suppliers.
- Acts as the primary planning point of contact for the EMS partner leading weekly commit reviews resolving supply and capacity exceptions and driving supplier performance (OTD quality commit adherence) through structured reviews and corrective actions.
- Drives cross-functional EMS factory operations with Procurement Quality Engineering NPI and EMS factory ensuring on-time production quality yield component readiness and rapid issue resolution to maintain factory efficiency.
- Partners with NPI to secure readiness of new Tech Elements at the EMS factory for product launches including pre-build volume qualification ramp plans and end-to-end lifecycle planning (NPI replenishment phase-out).
- Represents supply planning for the EMS node in cross-functional programs and operational forums and supports the negotiation and renewal of supply terms (volume commitments flexibility clauses capacity reservations) in collaboration with the Supply Chain and Procurement.
- Leads continuous improvement projects to optimize EMS factory productivity reduce lead time improve flexibility and lower cost-to-serve analyzing cost drivers (premium freight idle OT expedites scrap) and performing structural actions to reduce exceptions.
- Maintains inventory and safety stock strategies for Tech Elements and key components at the EMS factory balancing service levels and working capital and leverages planning systems (ERP and planning tools) effectively to improve planning accuracy.

- Experience in procurement supply planning and inventory management.
- Demonstrated knowledge in Supply Chain Management Purchasing Capacity planning Inventory management and control Logistics.
- A clear understanding of the manufacturing environment and adequate knowledge of the electronics manufacturing industry.
- Strong in team member leadership skills towards external partners and suppliers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of ERP system (e.g. SAP).
- Potential training in Europe TBD within the first 3 months.
