This role offers a unique chance to make a real difference in the lives of new international work closely with the Education Administrationand our International Student Coordinatorto ensure comprehensive and well-supported experience for our international community.

Whatyoulldo:

• PlanandexecuteStudyStart:Helpusorganizeandruntheorientationprogramfor new international students ensuring they have a smooth and welcoming start.

  ThisincludesparticipatinginactivitiesoncampusinAugust.

• Recruitandcoordinatevolunteerinternationaltutors:Helpusfindandmanage ourfantasticteamofvolunteertutorswhoprovidepeersupporttonewinternational students.
• Representatives at events:Participate in ourInternational Tuesdaysas assistants or your experiences and insights with prospectivestudentsatOpenHouseeventsofferingavaluablestudentperspective.
• Provideguidanceandsupport:Participateinvariouscounselinginitiatives including informational meetings and informal gatherings to offer essential information and guidance to international students.

Werelookingforsomeonewho:

• Iscurrentlyenrolledinaninternationalmastersprogramme.
• IsfluentinEnglishbothwrittenandspoken.
• Isoutgoingapproachableandpassionateabouthelpingothers.
• Hasagoodunderstandingofthechallengesandopportunitiesinternationalstudents face.

Practicalities:

Thestartdateforthepositionwillbeassoonaspossible. Thisisapart-timepositionwithan average of 2hours per week (approximately 104hours annually). Pleasenotethat there will be peak hours particularly during Study Start periods and other events.
