Job Summary
Job Title: Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) Behavioral Health
Location: Brooklyn NY
Local Rate: $3637.5/Week
Travel Rate: $4148.5/week
Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) Behavioral Health for an exciting Travel or Local job in Brooklyn NY.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Director of Nursing in managing daily operations of behavioral health units
- Ensure clinical practices meet safety and quality standards
- Supervise and mentor nursing staff including guidance on psychiatric cases
- Monitor compliance with regulatory requirements and internal protocols
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and nursing audits
- Provide clinical oversight during psychiatric emergencies
- Support de-escalation and crisis intervention practices
- Assist with recruitment onboarding and scheduling to maintain staffing levels
Qualifications:
- BSN required; Masters degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration preferred
- Minimum 5 years of clinical nursing experience
- At least 2 years in a supervisory or management role in Behavioral Health or Psychiatry
- Active valid RN license required
- Strong knowledge of mental health laws patient rights and psychiatric nursing interventions
