Job Summary
The State College Area School Districtis seeking candidates tofill our High SchoolVarsityGirls Basketball Head Coach position.
The Head Coach is responsible for providing leadership and guidance to student-athletes and assistant coaches as well as providing an overall vision for the program inclusive of grades and teams 7-12. We are seeking positive passionate enthusiastic individuals who will not only instruct student-athletes in fundamental skills strategy and physical training but also guide and mentor them to be driven and responsible student-athletes and citizens. The Head Coach reports to and work closely with the Athletic Directors to determine goals and direction of the program.
The Head Coachs responsibilities will also include scheduling off-season workouts and programming as well as in-season practice schedules game schedules coordination of transportation communication with players and families and regular communication with the athletic department.
Both the PA Dept. of Education and the PIAA require specific safety and coaching training. See theAthletics websitefor details.
