This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a growing global pharma company focused on providing access to highly innovative therapies to patients in international markets. The territory for this position is Canada West with some consideration as to where the role will be located (greater Calgary or Vancouver areas).


Expected Base Pay Range (CAD): $ 130000 to $ 150000 per annum

The successful candidates starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills experience qualifications work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.

Responsibilities:
  • Overall responsibility of this role is to achieve sales objectives and profitably manage territory budget and expenses.
  • Develop implement and maintain annual territory business plans based on market data and insights and marketing plans
  • Call on a defined customer target list and maintain on-going prospecting for new customers
  • Educate customers on approved product information suitable patients for treatment reimbursement and Patient Support Program
  • Support cross functional engagement with customers with internal partners
  • Organize and implement educational programs through face-to-face discussions speaker programs learning initiatives and other forums
  • Partner and liaise with KAM and MSL colleagues to share and build critical territory synergies and intelligence
  • Builds advocacy within assigned territory and accounts
  • Perform all required administrative duties including all expense reports marketing reports and call reporting
  • Work within the regulatory and legal compliance guidelines
  • Attend local regional and national meetings as directed
  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately >50% of the time
  • Evening and weekend work will be required from time to time

Requirements:

  • University degree in Science Health Care or Business
  • 4 years experience in pharmaceutical sales with at least 2 years specializing in Specialty or Rare Diseases
  • Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities to achieve superior sales results
  • Leads by example and demonstrates high level of collaboration with internal and external counterparts
  • Proven track record of executing sales strategies to achieve revenue targets in assigned sales territories
  • Demonstrated solution-oriented approach to selling and ability to articulate value propositions appropriate to each level of contact
  • Exhibits superior persuasion and negotiation skills
  • Possesses excellent technical aptitude and the ability to conduct disease/concept selling
  • Understanding of local managed markets (public and private) and institutional/hospital environments
  • Demonstrates superb written verbal and presentation skills
  • Possesses excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently to execute against strategic and tactical plans under tight timelines
  • Computer literacy including the ability to use MS Office (Word PowerPoint and Excel) MS Teams Zoom and Veeva.
