Exemplary Instruction: Delivering high-challenge Chemistry lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 with significant opportunities for A-Level instruction for suitably qualified candidates.
Practical Excellence: Designing and leading sophisticated laboratory investigations ensuring students develop the precise technical skills required for advanced scientific study.
Conceptual Clarity: Masterfully explaining complex topicsfrom the intricacies of organic synthesis and enthalpy changes to the nuances of the periodic table and atomic structure.
Data-Driven Success: Utilising the academys sophisticated tracking and feedback systems to identify misconceptions early and ensure all students exceed their academic targets.
STEM Leadership: Coordinating school-wide initiatives such as the Chemistry Olympiad or Royal Society of Chemistry competitions to foster a culture of intellectual curiosity.
The Successful Candidate We are looking for a subject authority who views Chemistry as the vital link between the physical and biological sciences. Requirements include:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a strong honours degree in Chemistry or a closely related discipline (e.g. Biochemistry Chemical Engineering).
Proven Track Record: Evidence of delivering exceptional learning outcomes at GCSE and A-Level with a deep understanding of AQA or OCR specifications.
Analytical Rigour: The ability to demystify quantitative chemistry and mathematical modelling for students of all abilities.
