Librarian

An Independent secondary school in Worcester is seeking an enthusiastic and organised Librarian to lead and manage their well-resourced school library. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about literacy reading and supporting students in developing strong independent learning habits across KS3 KS4 and KS5.

The successful candidate will oversee the daily operation of the library ensuring it remains an engaging welcoming and purposeful learning environment for students and staff. Responsibilities will include managing library resources organising stock maintaining records and supporting students with reading recommendations and research skills.

You will also work closely with teaching staff to support literacy initiatives curriculum projects and independent learning programmes across the school. The role may include organising reading events author visits and displays that promote reading for pleasure and student engagement with literature.

Strong organisational and communication skills are essential alongside the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff. The school is looking for someone creative proactive and committed to promoting literacy and learning throughout the school community.
