Job Summary


Position Title: Maintenance Technician IV (Little Rock)

Reports to: Maintenance Manager II

Purpose/Primary Function:

Work in a team environment to support production equipment repairs and upgrades and perform general and preventive maintenance. Design develop and implement new products/process equipment all to ensure a productive and safe work environment. The Maintenance Technician role requires both working knowledge and responsibility for electrical and mechanical maintenance duties.

This is a unique opportunity to join the organization at an expansion stage and help build talent and culture from the ground up as we build Trexs new location in Little Rock. A high level of accountability and coordination along with a focus on relationships and willingness to travel regularly to other established locations during the early months of this role will be key components to success.

This position is currently a Dayshift Monday through Friday 7 AM - 3 PM Position.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Promote and practice all aspects of job safety.
  • Always demonstrate Trex cultural values and beliefs.
  • Maintenance and repair of all mechanical and electrical systems on-site.
  • Learn to troubleshoot programmable logic controls and understand ladder logic.
  • Responsible for metal fabrication machining and welding as required.
  • Support engineering in the improvement of and/or development and implementation of new products and processes.
  • Participation in housekeeping activities to keep up plant appearance and ensure it operates acceptably and safely.
  • Participate in additional duties as required by the department team lead or manager.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for operational efficiencies.
  • Able to lead small team projects creating a cooperative and effective work environment.

Education/Experiences:

  • Required:
    • HS Diploma or GED
    • Professional Attitude
    • Always demonstrates Trex Cultural Values and Beliefs
    • High Mechanical Aptitude
    • Ability to wear required PPE and lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
    • Ability to attend offsite training classes periodically (1-2 weeks per year with proper notice)
    • Welding experience (Arc Mig and Tig)
    • Experienced in troubleshooting hydraulic pneumatic and mechanical systems.
    • 10 years of Industrial Maintenance Experience
  • Preferred:
    • Associates degree in industrial maintenance or equivalent
    • Welding Certification
