Summary of Job:

Responsible for performing visual inspections and measurements on incoming materials to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications. Materials will include both refractory and sheet metal. Supports production quality control inspection documentation equipment calibration and safety initiatives.

Must-have/Required skills:

• Able to interpret technical documentation (e.g. specifications design prints SOPs etc.)
• Proficient in using hand measurement tools and equipment
• Strong knowledge of quality control methods practices and procedures
• High attention to detail
• Effective communication skills both verbal and written
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Proficient with MS Office (i.e. Word Excel PowerPoint etc.)

Nice-to-have skills:

• Previous manufacturing experience
• Metal fabrication and welding knowledge
• Metrology experience (e.g. CMM vision systems 3D scanning etc.)
• Solidworks/CAD understanding

Key responsibilities and duties:

• Perform visual inspections and measurements on incoming materials to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications
• Inspect refractory and sheet metal materials
• Identify and report non-conformances or deviations from quality standards to appropriate personnel
• Conduct regular inspections of production processes to monitor quality control parameters and identify areas for improvement
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions
• Maintain accurate and detailed inspection records and documentation
• Calibrate and maintain inspection equipment to ensure accurate and reliable measurements
• Support the departments safety initiatives
• Apply knowledge of industrial safety standards
• Identify health hazards
