Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Environmental & Sustainability Engineer for major roads and infrastructure projects in Doha Qatar. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring environmental compliance sustainability implementation and adherence to environmental regulations throughout project execution.

The ideal candidate must possess strong experience in infrastructure and road projects including environmental monitoring sustainability initiatives waste management and environmental impact mitigation. Candidates with only oil & gas commercial or residential building experience will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure compliance with environmental regulations project requirements and sustainability standards.
• Conduct environmental inspections and audits across project sites.
• Implement environmental management plans and sustainability initiatives.
• Monitor waste management dust control noise control water management and pollution prevention measures.
• Prepare environmental reports inspection records and compliance documentation.
• Coordinate with contractors consultants and authorities regarding environmental matters.
• Support sustainability targets and environmental performance improvement initiatives.
• Identify environmental risks and recommend corrective/preventive actions.
• Ensure compliance with local authority and project environmental standards.
• Conduct environmental awareness sessions and toolbox talks when required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering Environmental Science Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 7–10 years of experience in roads and infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of environmental regulations sustainability practices and environmental management systems.
• Experience in infrastructure construction environmental monitoring and compliance.
• Familiarity with environmental impact assessments and sustainability reporting.
• Strong communication coordination and reporting skills.
• Experience in Qatar/GCC infrastructure projects is preferred.
• Relevant environmental or sustainability certifications are an advantage.
