Heavy Duty Mechanics

Essential Responsibilities:

• Safe & cost-effective maintenance of heavy mobile equipment
• Inspect diagnose repair and maintain heavy construction equipment such as excavators dozers loaders graders haul trucks and support equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance in accordance with manufacturer and site requirements
• Conducts pre-trip/walk-around safety inspections and completes daily field level hazard assessments for all activities
• Complete maintenance reporting and other documentation as required
• Collaborate and communicate effectively and professionally with other team members
• Be a leader in both safety and production for the team by ensuring compliance with all company client and legislated safety policies and procedures

Requirements:

• 3 years previous experience preferred
• Journeyperson certification from a recognized training authority
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision
• Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing
• Must have a valid Drivers License and clear 3-year drivers abstract
• Experience with various equipment such as CAT Komatsu John Deere and Hitachi
• Strong commitment to safety and safe work practices
• Ability to work rotations shifts and overtime

Work Conditions:

• Travel allowances provided from across Canada
• Living out allowance or camp availablefor eligible candidates
• Various shift rotations available

Compensation

This is the applicable wage range for this position. Individuals will be assigned a base wage within this range based on trade certification and/or apprenticeship level industry experience and work location.

Remote site-based positions may be eligible for additional incentives including but not limited to travel and accommodation allowances.
