Job Summary
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support clinical operations within a Radiation Therapy unit. This role involves assisting physicians and healthcare staff with patient care documentation and administrative responsibilities in a fast-paced outpatient setting. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with EPIC EMR and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist physicians and clinical staff with patient care procedures
- Prepare patients for examinations and treatments
- Record vital signs and accurately document patient information in EPIC EMR
- Perform administrative tasks including scheduling chart management and patient coordination
- Maintain a clean organized and safe clinical environment
- Ensure compliance with established healthcare protocols and regulations
- Float to other units as needed
- Support overall clinic workflow and enhance patient experience
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 2 years of Medical Assistant experience (outpatient setting required)
- Experience working in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records system (required)
- Strong interpersonal and patient care skills
- Ability to multitask and manage both clinical and administrative duties
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Education Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Medical Assistant Diploma from an accredited program
Certifications
- BLS Certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) Required
