Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CT Scan Technologist to perform advanced computed tomography procedures and deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging. This role requires strong technical expertise patient care skills and collaboration with radiologists and healthcare teams to support accurate diagnosis and treatment in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform complex CT imaging procedures with precision and efficiency
Review and document patient clinical history within PACS systems
Prepare and verify contrast questionnaires; ensure accurate documentation in EPIC
Administer contrast media as prescribed and monitor for any adverse reactions
Verify imaging orders and collaborate with physicians to clarify or adjust as needed
Coordinate exam authorizations and assist with necessary modifications
Upload and manage external imaging studies into PACS
Provide imaging copies to patients and referring providers as required
Evaluate images to ensure quality accuracy and diagnostic value
Prepare and position patients ensuring safety and comfort throughout procedures
Perform venipuncture and maintain IV lines per established protocols
Educate patients on procedures and address questions or concerns clearly
Monitor patient condition during imaging procedures
Maintain workflow efficiency in a high-volume fast-paced environment (including Emergency Department settings)
Adhere to all safety regulatory and organizational standards
Required Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of CT experience (5 years preferred)
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
Strong knowledge of anatomy physiology and radiologic positioning
Experience with EPIC EMR Fuji PACS and CT imaging equipment
Ability to work effectively in a high-volume clinical setting
Excellent communication patient care and problem-solving skills
Certifications & Licensure
ARRT Certified R.T. (R) Required
New Jersey DEP Diagnostic Radiography License Required
BLS Certification (American Heart Association) Required within 3 months of hire
ARRT (CT) Certification Required within 12 months of hire
Preferred Qualifications
Prior CT experience in a hospital or emergency department setting
