CT Scan Technologist (Night Shift)
Location: Edison NJ 08818
Schedule: Full-Time (40 hours/week)
Shift: Nights 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM (SundayThursday)
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CT Scan Technologist to perform advanced computed tomography procedures and deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging. This role requires strong technical expertise patient care skills and collaboration with radiologists and healthcare teams to support accurate diagnosis and treatment in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform complex CT imaging procedures with precision and efficiency
- Review and document patient clinical history within PACS systems
- Prepare and verify contrast questionnaires; ensure accurate documentation in EPIC
- Administer contrast media as prescribed and monitor for any adverse reactions
- Verify imaging orders and collaborate with physicians to clarify or adjust as needed
- Coordinate exam authorizations and assist with necessary modifications
- Upload and manage external imaging studies into PACS
- Provide imaging copies to patients and referring providers as required
- Evaluate images to ensure quality accuracy and diagnostic value
- Prepare and position patients ensuring safety and comfort throughout procedures
- Perform venipuncture and maintain IV lines per established protocols
- Educate patients on procedures and address questions or concerns clearly
- Monitor patient condition during imaging procedures
- Maintain workflow efficiency in a high-volume fast-paced environment (including Emergency Department settings)
- Adhere to all safety regulatory and organizational standards
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of CT experience (5 years preferred)
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
- Strong knowledge of anatomy physiology and radiologic positioning
- Experience with EPIC EMR Fuji PACS and CT imaging equipment
- Ability to work effectively in a high-volume clinical setting
- Excellent communication patient care and problem-solving skills
Certifications & Licensure
- ARRT Certified R.T. (R) Required
- New Jersey DEP Diagnostic Radiography License Required
- BLS Certification (American Heart Association) Required within 3 months of hire
- ARRT (CT) Certification Required within 12 months of hire
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior CT experience in a hospital or emergency department setting
- Familiarity with EPIC and other HIS/RIS systems
