As a Locum Rheumatologist you will play a vital role in diagnosing and treating patients with various rheumatological conditions. Your expertise will help enhance the overall health of our community by providing exceptional patient care and collaborating with our healthcare team to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and evaluations
Diagnose and treat a range of rheumatological disorders
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care
Provide patient education regarding their conditions and treatment options
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
Participate in team meetings and contribute to practice development
Stay updated on the latest advancements in rheumatology
Requirements
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
Valid medical license to practice in the state
Board certification in Rheumatology is preferred
Experience in a clinical setting particularly in rheumatology
Strong diagnostic and clinical skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous improvement
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Schedule: Monday-Friday (8a-5p) 2 weeks per month
No overnight call but will handle ED consults during the day
Patient Volume: 10-14 per day
Support Staff: 2 RNs 1 CMA and a Practice Manager
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
