As a Locum MD/DO you will play a critical role in diagnosing and treating patients with hematological and oncological conditions. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional care and support to our patients. This role is essential in ensuring that our practice meets the needs of the community while maintaining the highest standards of medical excellence.
Responsibilities
Evaluate and manage patients with hematologic and oncologic disorders
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Perform diagnostic procedures and interpret results
Collaborate with nurses specialists and other healthcare providers
Educate patients and their families about treatment options and care
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Participate in patient rounds and case discussions
Stay informed about advancements in oncology treatments and protocols
Requirements
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
Board certification in Hematology Oncology or Medical Oncology
Active medical license to practice in the state of North Carolina
Experience in a clinical setting preferably in oncology
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
Schedule: 2-5 weekdays per week 8a-5p
Setting: Outpatient only
Daily Volume: 3-4 new consults follow-ups
Patient Population: Adults
Case Mix: 70% solid tumor 30% hematology
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
