The Battle Management Command & Control and Networking (BMC2&N) portfolio integrates advanced capabilities across multiple program areas including Command and Control Networking Sensor Fusion Fire Control and Data Intelligence. BMC2&N is seeking a Portfolio Engineering Demand Focal to manage staffing demand coordination and ensure accurate timely data is available for senior leadership reviews. This role oversees the tools dashboards and processes needed to support staffing alignment and leads improvement initiatives to enhance workforce planning and resource management across the entire BMC2&N portfolio.

What You Will Do:

  • Responsible for all staffing demand coordination data and alignment of each program up through Portfolio aggregated views.

  • Ensures timely accurate data is available for all senior leadership reviews.

  • Manages staffing tools templates dashboards and review packages meet the needs of senior leadership as well as the needs of the Portfolio / PACE organizations.

  • Leads all staffing related improvement initiatives for the BMC2&N organization.

  • Represents the BMC2&N engineering organization as the Portfolio Demand Lead at the SDS level.

  • Willingness to travel occasionally to support program events and related external activities.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Experience in workforce planning ensuring demand signal is accurate and collaborating with engineering functions to align staffing requirements.

  • Experience with staffing tools and dashboards.

  • Experience in engineering demand signal alignment to LRE and AOP.

  • Experience working with functional areas in driving strategies to close supply-demand gaps.

  • Demonstrated experience applying effective leadership (i.e. gaining confidence/trust of others setting the example alignment on organizational values and goals timely decision making nurturing culture reading team members mentoring/coaching other leaders or team members facilitating problem solving of issues or even conflicts within teams leading self and others achieving results).

  • Demonstrated experience collaborating effectively and building partnerships with others inside and outside the parent organization.

  • Typically requires a degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience.

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required.

  • U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience in collecting and analyzing engineering metrics for decision making.

  • Able to establish key elements of operational plans with direct impact towards the achievement of results and holding people accountable for their contributions.

  • Able to see the context and develop or adjust relevant processes standards and operational plans in support of the Engineering functional strategy.

  • Experience in briefing senior leadership.

  • Experience collaborating across engineering functional areas.

The salary range for this role is 132400 USD - 251600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
