Job Description:
- Evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of existing clustered HPC systems and develop strategies to enhance performance scalability and utilization.
- Serve as a primary technical contact for HPC end users providing guidance on running simulations and promoting best practices across the user community.
- Design write and maintain software to drive tune and monitor EDA workloads within the HPC grid.
- Create and maintain clear comprehensive documentation related to HPC infrastructure and EDA workflows.
- Research emerging software and systems technologies to support recommendations and purchasing decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure secure stable and optimized HPC operations.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Minimum of2.5 - 5 years of experiencein Electrical Engineering Computer Science or High-Performance Computing.
- Hands-on experience with HPC system software and cluster management tools including job schedulers such asLSF SGE RTDA or similar.
- Strong proficiency withUnix/Linuxoperating systems and file systems.
- Fundamental programming and scripting skills usingBash Perl Python Tcl and/or C/C.
- Experience withElectronic Design Automation (EDA)tools and suites fromCadence Synopsys and Siemens.
- Familiarity withMachine LearningandArtificial Intelligenceframeworks ( TensorFlow) is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership for complex large-scale computing projects.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to independently identify and resolve HPC grid issues.
- Ability to define and implement processes that maintain system performance and promote best practices.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Proven ability to build positive working relationships and collaborate effectively with team members.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
