Sr Manager ASIC NPI, Amazon Leo

Amazon Leo is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Amazon Leo will help close the digital divide by delivering fast affordable broadband to a wide range of customers including consumers businesses government agencies and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.

Export Control Requirement:

Silicon NPI (New Product Introduction) leads the transition of complex semiconductor products from design to high-volume manufacturing (HVM). Responsibilities include driving cross-functional strategies for engineering validation manufacturing yield supply chain readiness and cost optimization ensuring on-time delivery of samples and production ramps.

Key job responsibilities
Strategic Leadership: Develop and own the end-to-end silicon NPI strategy aligning with Product Management Engineering and Operations teams to meet product lifecycle milestones (EVT DVT PVT)

Manufacturing & Yield: Drive Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Test (DFT) requirements. Optimize wafer fabrication assembly and test processes to maximize yield and reduce costs including in advanced packaging.

Supply Chain & Ops Readiness: Oversee vendor management contract manufacturer (CM) strategy and material procurement to ensure capacity and timely engineering build schedules.

Program Execution: Lead cross-functional teams to resolve technical and supply constraints during the NPI phase ensuring a seamless transfer to mass production

Quality & Reliability: Guarantee that products meet quality standards and reliability specifications before product release in conjunction with the Quality team.

- 10 years of management experience
- Bachelors degree in electrical engineering material engineering mechanical engineering or related fields
- 1215 years in semiconductor operations NPI or product engineering with a proven track record in high-volume silicon manufacturing
- Deep understanding of silicon wafer fab 3D packaging or complex ASIC development
- Experience leading large diverse cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment

- PhD in Electrical Engineering Computer Science Mathematics or a related technical field
- Master or PhD in Electrical Engineering Computer Science Mathematics or a related technical field

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
