Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Shift Supervisor to oversee daily sterile processing operations within a fast-paced healthcare environment. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring efficient workflow regulatory compliance quality sterilization processes and team performance across all sterile processing functions.
The ideal candidate will have strong supervisory experience extensive knowledge of sterile processing standards and the ability to lead and support a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise sterile processing technicians and coordinate daily shift operations
Oversee decontamination instrument assembly sterilization and distribution processes
Ensure compliance with ANSI/AAMI standards infection control protocols IFUs and internal policies
Perform quality assurance audits and maintain accurate documentation
Train mentor and support the development of sterile processing staff
Coordinate equipment maintenance troubleshooting and calibration activities
Assist with staff scheduling workflow planning and operational efficiency initiatives
Collaborate with surgical and clinical departments to ensure timely instrument availability
Promote workplace safety infection prevention and regulatory compliance
Address operational concerns and support service excellence initiatives
Monitor inventory levels and support supply management processes
Participate in continuous improvement efforts and KPI tracking
Required Qualifications
Strong leadership organizational and communication skills
Knowledge of sterilization procedures OSHA regulations and infection prevention standards
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and workforce/timekeeping systems
Experience with surgical instrumentation and sterile processing workflows
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Required Certifications
Candidates must hold at least one of the following certifications:
CSPM Certified Sterile Processing Management
CRCST Certified Registered Central Service Technician
CSPDT Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician
CSIS Certified Surgical Instrument Specialist
Preferred Certifications
CIS Certified Instrument Specialist
CHL Healthcare Leadership Certification
Experience Requirements
Minimum 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience in healthcare or manufacturing environments
Hands-on experience in sterile processing and medical device reprocessing required
