Job Summary
The Opportunity
As Director of Sales you will partner closely with the Chief Strategy & Commercial Officer to shape and execute Caraway Homes growth across retail wholesale and new channels. You will own and expand a portfolio of key strategic accounts in Mass and Club while driving the identification and launch of new partners across mass club and grocery. Youll play a central role in building out new product categories across emerging retail channels and work with the Leadership team to inform Caraways long-term retail strategy and organizational priorities across the full product portfolio. This role reports directly to the Chief Strategy & Commercial Officer.

You are a proven sales leader with deep experience scaling strategic account management omnichannel growth and high-impact partnership development. You bring strong industry knowledge and a track record of building meaningful retail relationships operating with both a strategic lens and a hands-on approach to execution. Youre commercially minded data-driven and grounded in merchandising fundamentals using insights and financial modeling to inform decisions and drive results.
You are engaging authentic and articulate excited to represent Caraway Home at the highest levels. You thrive in fast-paced environments operate with a strong bias toward action and are highly organized proactive and collaborative. An adept negotiator with an entrepreneurial spirit youre comfortable navigating ambiguity and turning opportunity into tangible impact.
Responsibilities
Sales Partner Management
- Own senior-level relationships across Caraways mass club and grocery accounts ensuring alignment on joint business priorities growth plans and long-term partnership success.
- Manage day-to-day communication and account needs serving as the primary point of contact across sales marketing support and operational matters.
- Partner with the Chief Strategy & Commercial Officer to develop and execute account strategy channel prioritization and long-term retail and business development plans.
Sales Strategy & Execution
- Collaborate with Caraways Leadership team to define and drive retail omnichannel and business development strategy aligning channel priorities with broader company goals.
- Lead account- and channel-level growth initiatives translating company objectives into scalable account-specific programs.
- Develop execute and continuously refine customized growth plans for existing and new accounts grounded in sales performance and consumer insights.
- Engage accounts at both the HQ and field level to deepen relationships uncover opportunities and accelerate growth.
- Leverage performance data and market insights to inform decisions across assortment merchandising and channel expansion.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to develop and implement a cohesive retail merchandising strategy that aligns with brand goals and customer needs.
Business Development & Channel Expansion
- Lead end-to-end negotiations and structuring of new partnerships ensuring strong commercial outcomes and brand alignment.
- Drive channel-specific sales strategies plans and promotional frameworks to expand Caraways presence across mass club grocery and new channels.
- Prepare and deliver compelling business proposals sales presentations and collateral for new and existing retail and business development opportunities.
- Evaluate new opportunities through both a strategic and financial lens ensuring alignment with the brands long-term omnichannel goals.
Sales Operations & Reporting
- Oversee retail reporting performance tracking and business review cadences to drive accountability and strategic decision-making.
- Prepare presentation materials sales reports and internal documents required for effective selling and stakeholder communication.
- Provide strategic direction and guidance to internal teams supporting retail accounts including marketing operations merchandising and finance.
- Build scalable processes tools and frameworks to support retail growth and channel expansion.
Knowledge skills and abilities:
- 8 years of experience in sales or account management within the retail or consumer goods industry.
- Proven experience with managing selling through and building retail partner accounts with a strong understanding of the home goods or lifestyle products market.
- Excellent presentation skills with an eye for detail and the ability to tailor content to various retail audiences.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
- Data-driven and analytical mindset with a solid understanding of retail sales metrics.
- Ability to work collaboratively with senior leadership and across departments.
- Entrepreneurial spirit with a proactive approach to identifying and creatively solving business challenges.
- Creatively connects customer insights to retail strategy using a deep understanding of consumer behavior to inform account planning and drive results.
The anticipated base salary for this role ranges from $165000 - 200000. Final compensation will depend on a variety of factors determining the base pay at offer including but not limited to: skills qualifications and experience.
