Job Title: Mens Soccer Coach

Location: Macon Early College

Position Summary

The Mens Soccer Coach is responsible for leading and developing a competitive education-based soccer program that supports the academic and personal growth of student-athletes. The coach will emphasize skill development teamwork sportsmanship and accountability while ensuring compliance with all school district and state athletic regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Program Leadership

• Plan organize and supervise all practices games and team activities
• Develop and implement a comprehensive soccer program aligned with the schools mission
• Instruct student-athletes in fundamental and advanced soccer skills tactics and conditioning

Student-Athlete Development

• Promote academic success and monitor eligibility of all players
• Foster leadership discipline respect and teamwork
• Create a positive safe and inclusive team environment

Game & Practice Management

• Design and execute effective practice plans and seasonal schedules
• Prepare the team for competition through scouting and game strategy
• Supervise athletes during practices competitions and team travel

Compliance & Administration

• Adhere to all district conference and state athletic association policies
• Maintain accurate records (rosters statistics equipment inventory etc.)
• Communicate regularly with administration parents and student-athletes

Program Support

• Manage equipment and uniform distribution/collection
• Support fundraising efforts and promote the soccer program
• Attend required meetings trainings and professional development

Qualifications

• Previous soccer coaching or playing experience preferred
• Knowledge of soccer rules techniques and game strategies
• Strong leadership communication and organizational skills
• Ability to effectively mentor high school/early college student-athletes
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Must meet all district and state coaching requirements

Working Conditions

• Availability for after-school practices games and occasional weekends
• Travel required for away competitions
• Ability to demonstrate soccer skills and actively participate in practices
