Job Summary: Join Pratt & Whitney at our Columbus Engine Center where precision meets purpose. As a Mechanic youll play a critical role in the overhaul repair and assembly of advanced jet engines that power commercial and military aircraft around the world. Working in a hands-on team-driven environment youll apply your mechanical expertise to ensure engines are restored to peak performance safety and reliability.

This is a 1st Shift position: Monday Thursday 5:00 am 3:30 pm

What You Will Do:

Work as a member of a team responsible for turbine engine engine module or component maintenance in accordance with
published work instructions and approved technical data.
Utilize common hand tools as well as a wide variety of tooling and fixtures to assemble/disassembly and test a jet engine.
Ensure all phases of assembly/disassembly as specified by work instructions comply with required self-inspection or peer inspection of critical processes ensuring adherence to quality standards.
Monitor and ensure processes meet Safety Quality and Delivery objectives.

Qualifications You Must Have:

High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
1 years experience in a mechanic role or appropriate technical training

Qualifications We Prefer:

Aviation engine overhaul and repair experience
Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License or Powerplant (P) Certificate
Hands-on experience in one or more of the following disciplines: Disassembly Inspection Assembly or Turbine Engine Test Operations.
Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma
Experience using Microsoft Office applications and SAP
