Werelooking for aHealth Safety and Wellbeing Partnerto championhigh standardsof healthsafetyand wellbeing across the this roleyoullprovideexpert advice drive continuous improvement and embed a proactive safety culture across varied operational environments.

You will:

  • Be the key contact for HSW across assigned groups and regions

  • Support risk and control management action plans and incident investigations

  • Implement HSW policies and standards

  • Deliver monthly performance reports and trend analysis

  • Engage with internal teams and external partners to strengthen HSW practices

  • Promote wellbeing programmes and initiatives across the organisation

  • Travel to project sites in your region to engage with local teams and be an advisor

Kokoetēnei About you

Youllbring:

  • Subject matterexpertisein Health Safety and Wellbeing

  • Experience with HSW management systems and safety investigations

  • Experience in working with contractors and third parties

  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills

  • Ability to present at leadership meetings and influence decision-making

  • A tertiary qualification in Occupational Health & Safety or related discipline or equivalent industry experience

  • Diploma or Certification in Health and Safety (or working towards it)

You willdemonstrateknowledge of or a willingness to gain an understanding of Te Ao Māori and promote tikanga and Te Reo Māori. You will also have knowledge of or a willingness to gain an appreciation of TeTiritio Waitangi (the Treaty of Waitangi) as it applies in the public service.
