Position Title: Travel Registered Nurse Medical/Surgical Telemetry (Float Pool)
Location: Hyannis MA 02601
Weekly Hours: 36 hours
Shift: Evening/Night Shift (7:00 PM 7:30 AM)
Assignment Type: Float Pool
Duration: 14 weeks (strong potential for extension or permanent placement)
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical/Surgical Telemetry to join a dynamic float pool this role you will provide comprehensive patient-centered care across multiple units in a fast-paced acute care environment. This position requires adaptability strong clinical judgment and the ability to maintain high standards of patient safety and care delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver patient care using the nursing process: assessment planning implementation and evaluation
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans
- Serve as a charge nurse or clinical resource when needed
- Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) and nursing informatics systems effectively
- Support and guide ancillary staff; contribute to staff education initiatives
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and infection control protocols
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and nursing committees
Required Qualifications
- Strong English communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced acute care setting
- Flexibility to float across multiple units as required
Education
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Licensure & Certifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) License Massachusetts
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Must successfully pass pre-employment clinical assessments
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent Medical/Surgical experience in an acute care setting
- Prior telemetry experience required (cardiac monitoring preferred)
