Position Summary
The Assistant Director of Student Academic Success (SAS) is a key leadership role within theOffice of Student Engagement and Success (SES)at the College of Veterinary Medicine. This position is responsible for overseeing academic success initiatives for students in the DVM program providing direct supervision to the Student Case Managers for Accommodations Student Progression Grade Reporting and Tracking and Academic Coaching. The Assistant Director works closely with the Associate Dean for Student Engagement and Success the Associate Dean for Professional Education and the Dean to identify and resolve emerging academic concerns and deliver comprehensive high-quality support services to students. The Director ensures integration across academic and student life functions and serves as a central liaison for academic standing processes academic records accreditation reporting and student-facing communication.
Minimum Requirements
Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing one or two years of post-bachelor degree work such as a Masters in Student Affairs Administration Developmental Psychology Educational Psychology or Counselor Education; five to eight years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in developing and implementing programs policies and procedures and supervising and coordinating staff; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
