Accounts Payable Manager

Empath Health is seeking a detail-oriented hands-on Accounts Payable Manager to lead a high-performing team and drive accuracy efficiency and financial integrity across the organization. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact while supporting a mission-driven organization dedicated to compassion and full-life care.

This is a hybrid role that will require one to work on site 3 days a week.

What Youll Do

• Lead coach and develop a team of Accounts Payable Specialists ensuring strong performance and coverage across all cycles
• Oversee end-to-end AP operations including invoices payments reimbursements and vendor management
• Ensure accuracy in vendor setup payment terms and compliance with tax reporting (1099s W-9s unclaimed property)
• Manage month-end close activities including reconciliations accruals and subledger-to-GL alignment
• Monitor aging resolve discrepancies and maintain strong vendor relationships
• Drive process improvements cash flow management and reporting insights to finance leadership

What Youll Need

• Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5 years of Accounts Payable experience including progressive leadership responsibilities
• Strong knowledge of accrual-based accounting and AP best practices
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines
• Proficiency in Excel Word and AP systems
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
