Location: Syracuse NY 13210
Assignment Duration: 26 Weeks
Schedule: Night Shift 3x12 Hours (7:00 PM 7:00 AM)
Weekly Hours: 36 Hours
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (post-training)

Position Overview

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with a background in Behavioral Health to join a psychiatric care team in Syracuse NY. This role involves delivering high-quality patient-centered care in a structured clinical environment while supporting individuals with mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer medications injections IV therapies and tube feedings
• Monitor assess and document patient conditions and behavioral changes
• Collect blood samples and other diagnostic specimens
• Provide wound care and apply appropriate dressings
• Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing feeding and mobility
• Maintain a clean and safe patient environment
• Supervise and delegate tasks to LPNs and support staff
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and care planning
• Coordinate with external providers to ensure continuity of care
• Support discharge planning and patient advocacy efforts

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license State of New York
• Minimum of 1 year of psychiatric or behavioral health nursing experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
