Job Summary

Helping Hands Oxenford is seeking an inspiring and motivated OSHC Assistant Coordinator to join our growing Helping Hands service. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a key leadership role where youll shape culture drive quality and make a genuine difference in the lives of children and your team.

This is a permanent part-time role (12 hours per week) working across split shifts Monday to Friday. 

Service hours include:

  • Rise Then Shine: 6:30am 9:00am
  • Stay and Play: 2:30pm 6:00pm
  • School Holidays: Block shifts between 6:30am 6:00pm

About your new role

As an Assistant Coordinator youll help lead a team of passionate Educators and oversee an engaging before- and after-school program for children aged 5-12 years. This role is all about leadership: 

  • Design and help lead a vibrant childcentred program filled with engaging experiences such as STEM sport cooking arts and crafts.
  • Assist with rosters daily operations compliance and administration.
  • Build a positive inclusive team culture where Educators feel supported motivated and proud of the program they deliver.
  • Partner with families the school community and internal stakeholders to ensure the service continues to grow and thrive.
  • Be supported by an experienced Coordinator and Regional Manager so youre never doing it alone.

Qualifications :

We can teach you about the job and sector but a few basics you need to have: 

  • Enjoys working with children and making a positive impact 
  • Communicates clearly and confidently 
  • Works well in a team and aspires to grow into a leadership role 
  • Holds (or is willing to obtain) a National Police Check and a Working with Children check 
  • Has Australian work rights 
  • National Child Safety Training completion prior to onboarding (via Gecko)  
  • Obtained or studying towards a relevant qualification to work with kids in OSHC per ACECQA
