Job Summary

Senior Backend Developer Pagero TMS

We are now looking for a Senior Backend Developer to join an experienced and close-knit team that develops and maintains Pagero TMS a leading cloud-based solution for transport logistics.

About Pagero TMS and Pagero

Pagero TMS helps transport buyers create transparency and control over their external logistics financially operationally and environmentally regardless of mode of transport. The solution is an integrated subsystem within the Pagero ecosystem.

Pagero is now part of Thomson Reuters. Together we are developing OneSource the worlds largest open business network. OneSource enables companies to digitize and automate entire workflows from procure-to-pay order-to-cash and shipping including all technical and regulatory requirements through a single connection. The platform offers global reach with local compliance and real-time visibility.

The Team and Way of Working

The product development team works with a microservices-based architecture and a strong DevOps culture where teams own the entire lifecycle from design and development to operations and continuous improvement.

You will be part of a team focused on further developing our scalable cloud service and collaborating closely with sister teams including teams in Sri Lanka.

About the Role

As a Senior Backend Developer you will:

Develop and further enhance backend solutions in a modern microservices architecture
Work with functional programming and JVM-based development (Scala ZIO)
Contribute to the design implementation testing and production of robust services
Work with Kubernetes PostgreSQL asynchronous queue systems (RabbitMQ/AMQP) and REST APIs
When needed contribute to the maintenance and further development of user interfaces in React
Collaborate with other teams within Pagero and Thomson Reuters both nationally and internationally
The position is hybrid with office presence three days per week in Stockholm.

About You

Requirements

Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science or an engineering discipline with an IT focus
At least 5 years of professional experience in software development
Experience with functional programming languages and the JVM platform preferably Scala
Experience with Kubernetes
Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases
Experience with asynchronous queue systems (e.g. RabbitMQ/AMQP) and REST/Swagger
Strong proficiency in both Swedish and English spoken and written

Meriting Qualifications

- Experience with frontend development in React
- Experience within the transport logistics domain and understanding of related information flows
- Experience improving development processes using AI-based tools
- Experience building AI-based products

- You are passionate about solving complex problems in close collaboration with others
- You thrive in an open development culture with code reviews and technical discussions
- You have experience across multiple technical ecosystems and are eager to learn new things

Teamet och arbetssättet

Produktutvecklingsteamet arbetar i en mikrotjänstbaserad arkitektur med stark DevOps-kultur där teamen äger hela livscykeln från design och utveckling till drift och kontinuerliga förbättringar.

Du blir en del av ett team som fokuserar på att vidareutveckla vår skalbara molntjänst och samarbetar tätt med systerteam bland annat i Sri Lanka.

Om rollen

Som Senior backendutvecklare kommer du att:

Utveckla och vidareutveckla backendlösningar i en modern mikrotjänstarkitektur
Arbeta med funktionell programmering och JVM-baserad utveckling (Scala ZIO)
Bidra till design implementation testning och produktion av robusta tjänster
Arbeta med Kubernetes PostgreSQL asynkrona kösystem (RabbitMQ/AMQP) och REST-API:er
Vid behov bidra till underhåll och vidareutveckling av användargränssnitt i React
Samarbeta med andra team inom Pagero och Thomson Reuters både nationellt och internationellt

Tjänsten är hybrid med kontorsnärvaro tre dagar i veckan i Stockholm.

Om dig

Krav

Kandidatexamen eller högre inom datavetenskap eller ingenjörsutbildning med inriktning mot IT
Minst 5 års professionell erfarenhet av mjukvaruutveckling
Erfarenhet av funktionella språk och JVM-plattformen gärna Scala
Erfarenhet av Kubernetes
Erfarenhet av relations- och/eller NoSQL-databaser
Erfarenhet av asynkrona kösystem (. RabbitMQ/AMQP) och REST/Swagger
Goda kunskaper i svenska och engelska både i tal och skrift

Meriterande

Erfarenhet av frontendutveckling i React
Erfarenhet från transportlogistikdomänen och förståelse för tillhörande informationsflöden
Erfarenhet av att effektivisera utvecklingsprocesser med stöd av AI-baserade verktyg
Erfarenhet av att bygga AI-baserade produkter
Personliga egenskaper
Du brinner för att lösa komplexa problem i nära samarbete med andra
Du trivs i en öppen utvecklingskultur med kodgranskningar och tekniska diskussioner
Du har erfarenhet från flera olika tekniska ekosystem och är nyfiken på att lära dig nytt
