Job Summary

Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Design and optimize manufacturing processes for testing electro-optical components and assemblies.
  • Perform testing of production parts using lasers as required.
  • Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure products meet specifications and standards.
  • Assemble and test opto-mechanical and electro-optic prototypes.
  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation including Bills of Materials (BOMs) drawings and procedures.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and product quality.
  • Provide technical support to production and NPI teams as needed.
  • Manage production schedules and ensure on-time daily shipments when required.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Optical Engineering Electrical Engineering or a related field with 5 years of experience or a masters degree or higher.

Skills

  • Experience in manufacturing engineering particularly with optical systems and components.
  • Experience working in a cleanroom environment.
  • Proficiency with CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks) and strong knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with lasers optical components and related test equipment.
