Job Summary
- The Head of Data & Analytics holds a pivotal role in our organisation tasked with the critical responsibility of providing robust infrastructure advanced tools and comprehensive frameworks to deliver end-to-end solutions addressing complex business challenges. This position is instrumental in constructing scalable infrastructure that supports the extraction of clear actionable business insights from raw data sources. The role demands a steadfast focus on data collection management analysis and visualisation coupled with the development of sophisticated analytical solutions
- Act as the business owner for any localised component of Group Data Architecture (e.g. in-country reservoir) reviewing and approving design.
- Act as the business owner for Data Engineering teams that are embedded within Country/BU/CF CIO teams determining priorities influencing investment and monitoring delivery Assess the impact of privacy and other legislation on the data landscape and develop and drive an implementation plan that will ensure awareness and compliance.
- Collate regulatory data requirements for area of responsibility to identify inadequacies in the existing practices to support compliance to regulatory requirements.
- Communicate a clear vision and strategy to coordinate the data agenda across a medium country/BU/CF engaging educating and negotiating with stakeholders
- Co-ordinate and facilitate Data and Information programmes by liaising with the Country/BU/CF and relevant Data stakeholders to identify data assets or business cases that could be prioritised for data monetisation and selective investment thereby enhancing revenue. Create and monitor a profit and loss statement for data activities within area of responsibility and influence data investment

Degree in Information Studies or Information TechnologyPost Graduate Degree
Experience Required
Experience:
Data Monetisation and Analytics: 5-7 years of extensive experience encompassing:
- Proficiency in big data tools: Hadoop Spark Kafka and related technologies
- Expertise in relational SQL and NoSQL databases with particular emphasis on Postgres and Cassandra
- Demonstrated capability in data pipeline and workflow management tools including but not limited to Azkaban Luigi and Airflow
- Comprehensive knowledge of AWS cloud services specifically EC2 EMR RDS and Redshift
- Proven experience with stream-processing systems such as Storm and Spark-Streaming
- Advanced proficiency in object-oriented/object function scripting languages including Python Java C and Scala
