Job Title: Civil Engineer / Site Agent
Location: Cork (preferred)

Our client is adynamic civil engineering firm specializing in large-scale civil projects across Cork and the surrounding areas. Their focus is on delivering high-quality infrastructure works while maintaining the highest standards of safety efficiency and innovation. They are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer / Site Agent to join our team and play a key role in managing on-site operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee civil engineering projects on-site ensuring all works are completed safely on time and within budget.

• Supervise subcontractors site staff and daily construction activities coordinating resources effectively.

• Perform setting out and surveying tasks using EDM & GPS technology to ensure accurate construction alignment.

• Oversee construction of reinforced concrete structures pipelines deep drainage systems and general groundworks.

• Implement and monitor temporary works particularly sheet piling over-pumping and other related activities.

• Maintain compliance with all safety quality and environmental regulations on site.

• Prepare progress reports liaise with clients and stakeholders and proactively resolve on-site issues.

Essential Experience & Skills:

• Minimum 5 years of civil engineering experience on civil infrastructure projects.

• Strong practical experience with reinforced concrete structures pipelines deep drainage and general groundworks.

• Experience managing civil works setting out on-site and supervising subcontractors.

• Competence in the use of EDM & GPS for surveying and construction alignment.

• Hands-on practical approach to site management with the ability to problem-solve on the spot.

Desirable Experience:

• Temporary Works experience particularly sheet piling over-pumping and similar operations.

• Exposure to a variety of civil environments and large-scale projects.

Training & Certifications:
Candidates with the following certifications are highly preferred:

• Safe Pass and Manual Handling

• Managing Safely in Construction

• Location of Underground Services

• First Aid (or equivalent)

Possession of these certifications demonstrates familiarity with safe working practices and the environments in which our projects operate.
