Gas Trader

• Develop and execute trading strategies in European spot gas markets
• Monitor market trends regulatory developments and price drivers to identify trading opportunities
• Optimize forward gas portfolios in coordination with power trading and cross-commodity opportunities
• Manage hedging activities and structured products linked to gas market dynamics
• Leverage advanced analytics models and data tools to support trading decisions and forecast market movements
• Collaborate with origination risk management and analytics teams to align trading strategies with company objectives
• Maintain and build relationships with market participants including exchanges brokers and clients
• Stay updated on regulatory and policy changes impacting gas markets

Qualifications :

• Degree in a quantitative discipline
• Initial experience in spot gas trading with a good understanding of European gas markets and their interconnection with power markets
• Background or good understand in gas logistics
• Proficiency in analysing gas market fundamentals supply-demand dynamics and geopolitical influences
• Advanced quantitative and analytical skills; proficiency in Python R or other relevant programming languages is a plus
• Familiarity with trading platforms and exchanges such as ICE PEGAS or similar
• Strong risk management skills and the ability to operate within defined risk limits
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with internal and external stakeholders
