Local Plan Co-ordinator
Wirral Council is seeking a highly organised and motivated professional to join our Strategic Planning team in this newly created and important role supporting the delivery of the Wirral Local Plan.
About the Role:
You will be responsible for establishing managing and overseeing the Local Plan-making process ensuring delivery in line with statutory requirements agreed timescales and available resources. You will provide effective governance project management and financial oversight coordinating work across council departments and with external consultants. The post also involves managing risk budgets procurement and engagement activity to support sound decision-making and full legislative compliance.
Sitting within the Strategic Planning team you will play a key role in coordinating the Local Plan timetable leading the procurement and management of consultants and acting as the lead officer for the Local Plan Oversight Group. You will also contribute significantly to the development delivery and ongoing review of the Local Plan engagement strategy.
