Job Summary

Job Overview:
To plan manage and oversee all sales and promotional activities relating to the pre-owned vehicle department. The successful candidate will lead and motivate the sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets while ensuring operational efficiency customer satisfaction stock management and compliance with company and OEM standards.

Position: Sales Selling Manager - Pre -Owned Vehicles
Location: Edenvale - Gauteng

Minimum Requirements:

Grade 12 / Matric certificate.
A relevant National Diploma Degree or Business Management qualification will be advantageous.
510 years experience within the motor industry preferably at dealership level.

Proven experience in:

New and used vehicle sales management.
Pre-owned vehicle operations.
After-sales business.
F&I offerings.
Financial and business management.

Strong understanding of:

Pre-owned vehicle market trends.
Pricing strategies.
Reconditioning processes.
Stock management.
Marketing and sales strategy.
Working knowledge and relationships at OEM national level will be advantageous.
Sound knowledge of legislation relating to the motor industry.

Proficiency in:

CMS systems.
Autotrader.
Bid4Cars.
Evolve or similar Dealer Management Systems.
MS Office internet and email.
Valid drivers licence and willingness to travel when required.
Strong communication skills in English and at least one additional local language.
Established relationships with key stakeholders suppliers and customers will be beneficial.
Clear criminal credit and verification records required.
Preference may be given to candidates residing within close proximity to the dealership.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead from the front by actively selling vehicles and driving team performance.
Motivate mentor and manage the sales team to achieve departmental targets and KPIs.
Build and maintain sustainable customer relationships that promote service excellence and repeat business.
Implement benchmarked sales and customer service practices to improve dealership performance.
Continuously analyse market trends competitor activity customer behaviour and economic conditions to adapt sales strategies effectively.
Create a positive engaging and high-performance team culture through coaching and leadership.
Ensure compliance with corporate governance ethical standards and company policies.
Assist in developing and managing departmental budgets aligned with business objectives.
Evaluate trade-ins using appropriate valuation tools.
Manage vehicle reconditioning processes and control associated costs.
Ensure all stock is sales-ready accurately priced and effectively advertised.
Manage and track all leads through the dealership CMS system.
Oversee inventory control and stock management processes.
