Job Summary
About the Role
This role is responsible for coordinating the design development and delivery of Chassis commodities for a Vehicle Program. The focus is on ensuring components meet timing and cost targets while balancing performance and attribute objectives. You will be part of one of the Chassis Simultaneous Engineering Teams you will work closely with the Chassis VLM and the Vehicle Program Team
What You Will Be Doing
You will operate with a dual focus acting as the critical interface between the Simultaneous Engineering Team and the Vehicle Line Manager to ensure seamless delivery of Chassis systems across the programme lifecycle. Combining strong technical awareness with programme delivery discipline you will translate engineering requirements into robust executable plans and ensure alignment with overall Vehicle Program milestones. You will drive the coordination of cross-functional activities monitoring progress against timing cost and quality targets and proactively managing risks and issues to resolution. Working closely with technical specialists you will challenge and support engineering decisions while maintaining a clear line of sight to programme commitments ensuring that deliverables are achieved on time within budget and to the required performance standards. Through clear communication and effective stakeholder management you will enable the team to deliver efficiently and consistently against programme objectives.
What We Are Looking For
You will have extensive experience in project engineering ideally within an automotive or similar product development environment. Strong technical knowledge relevant to Chassis or structural commodities is essential along with experience delivering products from concept through to launch. A degree in engineering is desirable or equivalent experience gained through industry.
You will be familiar with automotive development systems including specifications releasing processes gateways and signoff documentation. A strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as metal pressings castings and extrusions is important as is the ability to apply CAE analysis to drive robust design decisions.
You will have excellent attention to detail sound decisionmaking skills and confidence working with technical data.

You will be comfortable communicating complex technical information clearly and confidently both in writing and in presentations to a wide range of audiences.
