Job Summary
The Senior Informatics Specialist leads the Clinical Informatics team in supporting EMR systems and overseeing all state reporting processes. This role combines the responsibilities of the Informatics Specialist and State Reporting Coordinator providing strategic oversight process control and quality assurance for data submissions to state agencies. The position ensures compliance with state requirements supports internal stakeholders and drives continuous improvement in informatics operations and reporting accuracy. This is a hybrid position--- You must still be able to travel within NE Indiana
Duties/Responsibilities:

Senior Responsibilities
- Coordinate their daily activities of any Informatics Specialist position.
- Lead process control initiatives for EMR Informatics Specialist support and state reporting workflows.
- Ensure training materials and documentation are accurate and up to date.
- Able to connect with others build and maintain engagement with team members and a strong propensity towards mentorship is essential.
State Reporting Management
- Oversee all data submissions to DARMHA including ANSA CANS NOMS and CCBHC metrics.
- Support reporting functions for DARMHA within the EHR system leveraging available tools and data structures.
- Assist in ensuring clinical and operational data for DARMHA captured in the system is accurate accessible and used effectively for decision making reporting and compliance. Identify any data inconsistencies or gaps.
- Collaborate with Clinical Analysts Data Fabric Analysts and Data Fabric Engineers to assess develop and enact custom changes in clinical process data scripts enhancements and stored procedures to support needed points of data capture aligned to annual and mandated governmental changes.
- Required scripting and analytical knowledge for manual collection enhancement and validation during times where we are unable to meet the governmental mandated timelines for change.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting for programs such as MRO BPHC Recovery Works Wraparound and Transitional Living.
- Audit assessments and identify training needs to ensure compliance with state standards.
- Track and analyze state reports identify trends and collaborate with Data Analysts to resolve interface issues.
- Maintain and update DARMHA/NOMS training materials and coordinate clinician education.
EMR System Support
- Lead support and escalation processes with Bowen Staff
- Oversee triage to Clinical Informatics Analysts
- Ensure application systems training is completed and reflects current policies.
Quality Assurance & Process Improvement
- Develop and maintain documentation for the Clinical Informatics service desk process.
- Identify and implement efficiencies in data collection and error prevention.
- Monitor performance metrics and proactively address issues impacting funding or compliance.
Physical Requirements:
- Occupational Exposure Risk Classification: The normal work routine involves minimal exposure to blood body fluids or tissues.
- The normal work routine has a moderate ergonomic risk for repetitive motion impairment.
- The position may require a minimal amount of physical exertion (bending lifting twisting) in the work area.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Behavioral Health Health Informatics or related field; or equivalent experience.
- 3 years of experience in clinical informatics healthcare structure support or state reporting coordination.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across clinical business process understanding of clinical process and other support groups and responsibilities is essential.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Valid drivers license and active liability insurance.
- Satisfactory results from criminal background check.
