Finance Assistant
Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our growing finance team. This is a pivotal role designed for someone looking to launch or accelerate their career in accounting whilst being part of an exciting industry.

Key Responsibilities:
You will support the day-to-day operations of the finance department ensuring accuracy and efficiency across our financial records.
- Purchase Ledger: Processing invoices reconciling supplier statements and preparing payment runs.
- Sales Ledger: Assisting with credit control issuing invoices and allocating incoming payments.
- Bank Reconciliations: Monitoring daily bank activity and ensuring all transactions are accounted for.
- Month-End Support: Assisting the Management Accountant with journals accruals and prepayments.
- Expenses & Credit Cards: Auditing employee expense claims and company credit card spend.
- Ad-hoc Reporting: Providing data and administrative support for audits and internal financial reviews.
Qualifications :
To be successful in this role you must meet one of the following criteria:
- Experience: At least 12 months of experience in a similar finance/accounting role (e.g. Accounts Assistant Purchase Ledger Clerk).
- Education: A recent Graduate with a 2:1 or above in a relevant field (Accounting Finance Economics or Business).
Essential Skills:
- Numeracy & Accuracy: High attention to detail
- Tech Savvy: Strong spreadsheet skills (vlookups pivot tables) and familiarity with accounting software (e.g. Sage Xero SAP).
- Communication: Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
- Ambition: A genuine desire to qualify as a Chartered Accountant.
