Senior Mechanical Engineer

6 month Umbrella company contract

Are you a skilled Principal or Senior Mechanical Engineer with a passion for delivering cutting-edge solutions in a highly regulated industry We are looking for an experienced calculation and design checker to check detailed design calculations for mechanical and structural designs. If you thrive in a dynamic problem-solving environment this role is for you!

Your missions:

Manage the development review and checking of technical documentation including verification of detailed design drawings calculations and compliance documentation.

Work with Autodesk Inventor MathCAD AutoCAD and FEA tools.

Qualifications :

Qualifications

BEng (2:1 or higher) in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

Proven experience in mechanical engineering within a highly regulated sector.

Strong Knowledge of design for fabrication welding and manufacturing tolerancing. Specification of heavy industry design experience such as offshore oil and gas  construction equipment or similar

Strong knowledge of mechanical and structural engineering principles including mechanical handling design for manufacture and machinery design.

Experience with MathCAD and FEA software (ANSYS STAAD).

Experience with Eurocode 3 BS EN 13001 BS EN  13155 or similar crane related standards is desirable.

Experience with hydraulics and control systems is desirable.
