Job Summary
Seeking a Commercial Lines Account Manager to support producers in the handling and processing of new and renewal commercial lines business in accordance with agency procedures and guidelines. This role is responsible for assisting with the servicing retention and growth of commercial accounts while providing a high level of customer service to clients and carrier partners.
Responsibilities
Provide positive prompt accurate and courteous service to clients.
Coordinate policy expirations with producers to obtain renewal and/or new business information and maintain expiration control logs.
Assist in marketing new and renewal business including preparing proposals presentation materials and maintaining underwriting and marketing information with carrier partners.
Accompany producers to client meetings when requested.
Review new and renewal policies for accuracy including rating coverage documentation and policy details.
Process transactions and generate billing invoices as needed.
Ensure policies and related documents are delivered to clients or producers in a timely manner.
Respond to client and carrier inquiries regarding insurance coverage claims and administrative requests.
Maintain suspense systems and follow up on outstanding items reports correspondence and overdue requests.
Keep producers informed of important account activity and updates.
Assist with special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
Qualifications/Requirements
Minimum of two (2) years of commercial lines insurance experience in a similar role preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Holds an active P&C (Property and Casualty) insurance license.
Understanding of commercial lines insurance coverages forms procedures and policy rating systems.
Knowledge of commercial lines underwriting and coverage analysis.
Desire to pursue advanced insurance designations.
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Word Excel Outlook Access and PowerPoint.
Experience using agency management software preferred.
Professional insurance designations are a plus.
