About the Team
The Radiation Oncology team at Lakewood Health System provides advanced cancer treatment services through a collaborative multidisciplinary approach. The team partners with Radiation Oncologists Physicists Dosimetrists Nursing and support staff to deliver safe accurate and patient-centered radiation therapy.

Duties & Responsibilities
The Radiation Therapist provides specialized clinical care to patients undergoing radiation therapy ensuring safe accurate and efficient treatment delivery. This role operates advanced treatment technology supports simulation and treatment planning and maintains strict adherence to safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities include delivering and verifying radiation treatments assisting with CT simulation and patient positioning monitoring patients during treatment performing quality assurance checks and maintaining accurate documentation within the EHR. The Radiation Therapist collaborates with the multidisciplinary care team to coordinate patient care communicate updates and support treatment planning while promoting a compassionate patient-centered experience.
Position Type
This is a full-time position working 64 hours per pay period (.80 FTE).
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy program
- ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy (RT(T))
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or obtained within 6 months)
- 1 year of Radiation Therapist experience preferred
Ideal Candidate
- Strong knowledge of radiation safety treatment delivery and quality assurance
- Experience with patient positioning immobilization and treatment verification
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot treatment equipment
- Experience with Varian TrueBeam Eclipse or surface imaging technology preferred
- Experience with CT simulation and treatment planning workflows preferred
- Familiarity with oncology care coordination and multidisciplinary workflows
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
